Every Friday for as long as we can ski,  Goldwater Expeditions will be hosting Friday Group Ski. All levels and ages of skiiers are welcome. We will be skiing on the Nordic Nomads trails, backcountry trails and over lakes and rivers. I am really excited about exploring the area around Sioux Lookout, in hopes of coming across some real jems. I love to explore new trails that I have never even known existed, seeing what is just around the next corner. I love getting out in the middle of nowhere to listen to the sounds of nature. If you are interested in skiing, exploring and getting to know someone new in the community, come on out and have some fun this winter with Goldwater Expeditions as your guide. If you have your own equipement, no charge to join the Friday Group Ski otherwise its just $12.00 to rent top of the line skis, boots and poles. We are now into our 3rd season of kayaking and are really looking forward to meeting up with new paddlers and rekindling with clients from  previous years. If you want fun and something different to do, give us a call and we will meet you at the beach. We offer a 1 hour paddle buddy session were you learn the basics from the parts of the boat, to the paddlers box, and all the essential stokes and sweeps. I guarentee you will have gained confidents in your paddling skills, have a smile on your face  and a renewed spirit.

Summer 2009, Goldwater Expeditions has 4 new boats added to our line up for rentals, (2) Sit-on-Top Kayaks from Ocean Kayaks, and (2) new Necky boats; Manitou 14 touring  and we are extremely excited with the addition of a Manitou II Tandem touring boat.   The sit-on -top kayaks are great for people who prefer not to be in an inclosed cockpit or who would like the stability of these very wide boats. They also come with features like rod holders, fishing tackle holders for the paddlers who like to move slowly and surely over the water. Our Tandem Manitou II comes with all the great features of the Manitou 14 ft plus an extra cockpit for a second paddler and a jump seat for small children to come along on day trips. These new boats will better fit the needs of our guests and friends for the 2008 paddling season and our “Full Moon Sessions” will bring couples together at our Moose Bay Eco-Chalet.
